An increasing number of the clients suffer from mental disorders and especially dementia. This challenges the staff in multiple ways. Often, knowledge concerning mental disorders is missing.
Since 2006 Prof. Dr. Stoppe has been initiating and organising the program „Pflege und Medizin im Alter (PuMA)“ together with the Institute of Nursing Science of the University of Basel. The program is here.
In addition, she offers to develop concepts for staff development, supervision, case conferences etc. tailored to the specific needs of the institutions. (In the region) A consultation service is also possible.
